About me

Music has been the great passion of my life for as far back as I can remember. I’m fascinated by how simple collections of sounds and words can create profoundly powerful feelings, connections and experiences. I believe music can tap into our minds, lift our spirits, and inspire us to think and feel better. During my upbringing, music helped me understand that I wasn’t alone, it connected me to others, and helped me discover parts of myself I didn’t know existed. I want my music to create that experience for others.

Around my studies, I like to write my own songs and am currently working towards recording my first EP. I want my first release to capture the essence of my unique style and voice as a musical performer. My EP will help showcase my skills as a performer and proudly announce my presence in the UK music industry. I’m ready to tell the world,  “I’m J. J. Porter, I’m a musician, and I’m here to stay”.
